LIPSTICKS FOR DIFFERENT SKIN TONES

Choosing the right lipstick is important for every girl, but is a little bit more difficult than most people think.  The right lipstick has to go with your outfit, your hair color, but also your skin tone.  There have been way too many times that I chose a lipstick that matches my outfit, looks good with my hair but still manages to wash me out, appear unnatural or just look weird.  And with such a variety of different skin tones, it makes sense that certain shades of lipstick compliment each person in a different way.  By knowing what lip color accents your skin, you can find the perfect shade of lipstick for any outfit this season.
For girls who have a lighter complexion and relatively fair skin, wine reds, and deep, plum reds do wonders for a bright lip.  Choose reds with a blue undertone as they make your teeth look whiter.  For a more subtle look, try glossy pinks and a light peach or honey shade.
Girls with an olive skin tone should try to avoid pink and orange/red lipsticks all together.  These colors will bring out the yellow undertones in the skin, and the shade will look unnatural.  Instead, pick colors like brown red, dark berry, toffee or a strong red color.
For girls who have a medium skin tone, it is suggested to use shades like caramel, light mocha and deep pinks and reds.  These colors and others that have a blue-based pigment will brighten your complexion and will not wash you out, unlike pale browns, which will do just that.
Girls who have a darker, ebony skin tone should try brownish red shades.  These colors, as well as deep berry, coffee brown and a golden beige, will compliment your skin tone the best.  Any shades that have an orange undertone are ones that should be avoided.
Now that you know which shades of lipstick compliment your skin tone, there is no reason why your lipstick should not bring out your best features every day!
