Red lipstik and how to choose right shade

Red lipstik and how to choose right shade
You like red lipstick on celebrities, but you are about to cry when you need to choose a shade for yourself. There are some advices which can help you that red lipstick fits you perfectly.
There is no greater beauty symbol of self-confidence and femininity than red lipstick and none of them have such power to emphasize woman’s beauty which is noticed at first site. Its main objective is to draw attention to your lips. However, even if you have perfect full lips, every single tone won’t fit you.

Anyone can wear it

Make-up artists claim that red lipstick suits everyone, you just need to find the right shade. Blondes look better with red shades of cold tone, those with blue undertones, drawn by the deep tones such as dark red tone. Brunettes look better with warm tones, classic red and coral shades, while redheads mainly can wear all shades.
It is important to emphasize that the red lipstick goes with minimal make-up, so that on the eyes you mustn’t put strong makeup. And if you want your lipstick to be steady and accurately applied, first it is necessary to apply a lip base, then shape your lips with lip liner (which you can apply on the entire lips and lipstick will stand longer) and apply lipstick with a brush. Remove excess lipstick with a tissue. You fixed it to last long. You can apply a lip gloss over, but when red lipstick is in the question, it is rarely done.

How do you know which shade is right for you?

  • When you apply it, your eyes and the hair will “shine” and be more emphasized.
  • Teeth will look whiter.
  • You will look good without mascara and other makeup.
If you know that you have warm or cold skin tone, it’s easier to find the right shade of red lipstick. You can guess, cold skin tone looks better with “cold” red and warm skin tone looks better with “warm” red.
There are a few tips and tricks to determine easily your tone:
  • Try silver and gold jewelry. If silver looks better on you, you have a cold tone and you have to choose red lipsticks with blue and pink undertones
  • Try white clothes, true and off-white. If off-white fits you better, you have a warm tone and you should use red lipstick with orange undertones
  • Look at the veins on the backs of the hands. At daylight look at backs of your hands and determine if your veins are blue or green. If they are blue, you have cold tone, and if they are green, you have warm tone.
If gold and silver jewelry look good on you and you can not determine the color of the veins, your tone is neutral, so you can use both warm and cold shades of red.

What is also important

  • If you want to add red lipstick to your daily make-up, your skin has to be clean, without pimples and acne, because red lipstick emphasize them more.
  • Darker shades visually “lower” lips and look better on women with fuller lips, while lighter visually “volume” them.
  • Never apply red lipstick on chapped and dry lips because it looks really bad. The lips should be smooth and hydrated.
Red lipstick is avoided at weddings. On other occasions it is desirable. It is never out of fashion, and it’s always a symbol of elegance and sex appeal. Guess your shade and you will know what it means to increase self-confidence and self-awareness.
