Topshop too tempting!-- My lip products collection

Hi there all :)

Just while I'm in the mood, I thought I'd go over my rather large collection of Topshop lipsticks!
My habit started while watching Zoella on youtube and seeing her wearing a shade called Infared, which has now become my firm favourite, and since then, every time I venture to Birmingham (Where my best friend Amber goes to uni) I have to pop in and see what new shades are in! Oxford, where I live, sadly don't carry the makeup range, and neither does Swindon, which is where my boyfriend lives.

Sadface! But I do own 6 of the lipsticks and one lip crayon.

Heeeere we go!

First up, SCREEN SIREN

My newest, and quite possibly most favourite, Screen Siren is a bright pinky red. Sounds awful, looks delicious. Topshop simply describes this colour as RED but oh, is it so much more than that!

As you can see from the picture, there is a definate pinky hue to this gorgeous colour. In terms of price, I think at £8, these lipsticks are great for what they are. Screen Siren is not matte, its very creamy and non-sticky and lasts a fair while. Now, as you probably know, I have very pale skin, and I do have a picture of me (for once!) wearing this product!

This is a little collage thing I made on Instagram, so this particular image of the colour on my lips does have a filter over it, but you can still tell how pale I am and you can still see this colour does suit me. Its lovely, and I will probably stock up on it soon!!

Second is INFRARED

Infrared is easily the most popular shade of lipstick Topshop has made, and has been bought out over and over again. It is never absented from the website and has endless positive reviews.

Topshop simply describes this colour as Orange-red but it has coral hues and looks wonderful on any skin tone. I adore this particular shade, it really is summer in a tube for me.

Again, this is not me, you may recognise this lovely lady as katielovess from good ol' blogspot. Katie here has more of an olive complexion and Infrared really suits her. However, this shade does wonders too if you are quite pale, like me. All round worth buying I think!

Next up is TEASE

Tease is my only baby pink lipstick, for a huge reason; I am not girly in the slightest. Yes, I admit it, I run a beauty blog and I'm a proper hard up tomboy. I bought this lipstick on a whim, but its the bestest whimmyiest whim ever. Think Malibu Barbie's younger sister!

So this is Tease. I think as far as names go, they hit the nail on the head. This pink is very blue-toned though, so on the very pale it can wash you out or leave you looking like you have no border to your lips which is actually really weird. I wear it dabbed on, as then you get a more dewey look and less like an actual Barbie doll. Except with bright red hair.

Now, here is the wonderful CityscapeBliss wearing Tease. She has a slightly more olive skin tone, and so wearing this as boldly as she has done looks very pretty and subtle. But as I am not as dark of complexion, if I were to wear the colour like this, I'd look like an albino, which, not so much the look I was going for. This, for daytime for a hint of colour, is a true winner,

Neeeext we have BRIGHTON ROCK

Brighton Rock is Topshops second most popular shade, coming in closely with Infrared. This has almost as many positive reviews. It is a MAD neon pink, and should be warn with caution!

Now, the pictures from Topshop's website DEFINATELY do not do the colour of this lipstick any justice. It looks sortof red, infact, very red on the website images, whereas really, this is more of a going-to-a-rave, pretending-to-be-slut-barbie, pass-me-the-sunglasses neon pink.

This is the wonderful Melanie-Claire's lips, showing just how pigmented this lipstick is, and how the website's portrayal does it no justice. I think this shade would receive more positive reviews and become as popular as Infrared if Topshop put up an accurate image of the shade!

Up fifth is DEPTH

Depth was one of those weird spur-of-the-moment buys for me. It is definately a winter shade. I don't really wear this as much as I should but its rather a difficult shade for me to wear.

I do really like this shade, it does come out a sweet, berry shade, but I have trouble wearing it without blotting it a lot and mixing it with another warmer tone. As it is a blue based purple, the tone is very pigmented and therefore can cause me to look like an accidental goth.
This shade has not been re-released on the website yet, so I'm not sure if it was a very good seller.

Lastly, THE DAMNED

As soon as I saw this shade on the website, I fell in love with it and I was like WHEN AM I NEXT GOING TO BIRMINGHAM WITH MONEY I NEED THIS LIPSTICK ASDFGHJKL etc.
Luckily it was near my birthday when this lipstick came out and my big brother gave me a Topshop giftcard, so straight off to Birmingham I went!

I liken this shade to MAC's Rebel, which is the same sort of colour build up. The Damned starts quite light pinky purple, but with more applications can be brought up to a dark berry colour. Absolutley stunning, I am going to have to buy several of these to ensure I don't run out, lest they discontinue!

Just borrowing this from Shesaidbeauty, this demonstrates how pinky hued this lipstick is after one coat. With a build up, it does go darker, which means this stunner is a multi-seasonal shade!

And the lonesome lip crayon in SECRET PARTY

Now, unfortunately, I don't have many good things to say about the Lip crayons. The formula, unlike with the lipsticks, is not great. Infact, its pretty poor. They are sticky and don't stay put, and also don't smell great, and with the packaging's lid being airtight plastic, they crayon melts inside. HOWEVER. I still bought this product because the colour is just insanely gorgeous. A bright fuschia pink with glitter, just to die for. I wear this a LOT. But come on now, Topshop. Pull your socks up and re-release this as an actual lipstick with a better formula. This is no longer available to purchase on the website, and the crayons that are left do not have good reviews :(

So, this was my little tour into the lip colours that I own from Topshop!

Hope you enjoyed ;D
