Pink Lipstick - How to find the right pink shade for your skin tone!

Pink- Great color but just not on your lips? Well, there is a way to make it look pretty and not messy!

I remember playing with my Barbie dolls as a little child and just loving their makeup! Bright pinks and blue, even glitter all over! I loved it! Then, growing up playing with makeup, I realized pink is not exactly an easy color to pull off!

Even today, I still like pink and am always drawn to it at the makeup counter but knowing it´s a tricky gamble, I usually stay away.
There is a way however, to make it look great without ending up looking like a drunken Barbie!
Depending on your skin tone, just as with any shade, you can end up looking fabulous or well, not so much!

Got inspired? Want to wear pink as well? Choose wisely and there will be nothing stopping you!

If you are like me, you are a fair/light complexion
Try to stay away from too bright colors. A soft and gentle pink (I am wearing MAC Viva Glam Gaga) can work wonders with this skin tone. If you are very pale, try a pink with a peach undertone.
Lighter to slightly medium skin tones can go with a more violett or blue-ish/red undertone than will give it some brightness but still on the softer side.

Medium complexions:
You got some tan or are naturally in this shade, then you are the lucky one, you can get away with almost any pink shade!
Deep pinks, magenta, fuchsia, brown-ish pinks - your choice!

Olive complexions:
Olive skin tone are generally not in favor of pink. It just doesn´t always look the best. Stick to darker pinks with shades of purple and you can certainly enjoy those! Try to avoid the really pinkish-red ones.

Darker complexions:
The darker you are, the brighter your pink can be! Careful though to avoid the really pale bright pinks as they give you a strong contrast and can look odd. Darker pinks or any pink going into purple will look great on you!

Do you have any favorite pink lipsticks or lip products?

Enjoy your pink!
